July 2014<\/strong>
\nEvery year the Wildlife Sound Recording Society<\/a> holds an annual meeting
\nsomewhere in the UK. This year it was held at the Rutland Water
\nReserve<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The guest speaker was the society\u2019s new president Chris Watson<\/a>. He spoke
\nabout the work during the filming of the tv-program Frozen Planet<\/a> and his
\nexperiences in Antarctica.
\nDuring his talk he played stunning, crystal clear sound recordings, recorded
\nin the soundfield format.<\/p>\n

The presentation of the competition winning entries gave a good impression
\nof the skills and fieldcraft<\/strong> of the society members.<\/p>\n

This year I won the Boughton Fieldcraft Award<\/strong> for the second time!
\nThanks a lot!<\/p>\n
