{"id":257,"date":"2014-02-28T11:48:06","date_gmt":"2014-02-28T11:48:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.singwarte.info\/singwarte_wordpress\/?p=257"},"modified":"2017-12-09T08:07:30","modified_gmt":"2017-12-09T08:07:30","slug":"heimspiel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.singwarte.info\/?p=257","title":{"rendered":"Heimspiel \u2013 Dr\u00f6mling V"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>September 2013<\/strong><br \/>\nI mentioned the <strong>Flachwasserzone Mannhausen<\/strong> (shallow lake) here<br \/>\nseveral times before.<\/p>\n<p>Since my family moved to a village just around the corner <strong>I\u2019m regularly there<br \/>\nfor birding &#8211; especially in winter<\/strong> (arctic geese).<\/p>\n<p>On my way from Poole (UK) back to Leipzig I had again <strong>a short stopover<\/strong> and<br \/>\nit was a good idea.<\/p>\n<p>Early in the morning I thought that some Yellow-browed warblers <em>Phylloscopus<br \/>\ninornatus<\/em> should be in the area because during the last days there was a <strong>huge<br \/>\ninflux of them all over north and central europe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For that reason I went out to have a <strong>quick listen<\/strong> in suitable habitats and the first<br \/>\nbird call I \u2018ve recognised after I had opened the car door were calls of a<br \/>\nYellow-browed warbler and <strong>the <\/strong><strong>first hundred meters revealed a second bird<\/strong>.<br \/>\nI assume there were <strong>much more of them hidden<\/strong> in the Common sea-buckthorn<br \/>\n<em>Hippophae rhamnoides<\/em> bushes around the lake\u2026<\/p>\n<p>My stopover in the <a href=\"http:\/\/singwarte.info\/just-dutch-birding.phtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Netherlands<\/a> brought me my first ever YBW.
