After a while<br \/>\nhappely Arend found two of them. <strong>A big thankyou for that!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was great to <strong>meet him personally<\/strong>. In 2011 we had longer email conversations<br \/>\nabout <strong>Kazakhstan<\/strong> and I ceded him some sound recordings for his website<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/birdsofkazakhstan.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Birds of Kazakhstan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-255-2\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.singwarte.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/PFR09544_2-10_130925_ybrowedw-1-C_1322h_texel_REF-S.mp3?_=2\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.singwarte.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/PFR09544_2-10_130925_ybrowedw-1-C_1322h_texel_REF-S.mp3\">http:\/\/www.singwarte.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/PFR09544_2-10_130925_ybrowedw-1-C_1322h_texel_REF-S.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>PFR09544, 2-10, 130925, Yellow-browed warbler <em>Phylloscopus inornatus<\/em>, call,<br \/>\nTexel, Netherlands, Telinga parabolic reflector<\/p>\n<p>After getting <strong>the message<\/strong> of a present Long-legged Buzzard <em>Buteo rufinus<\/em><br \/>\nnear Rotterdam we found us <strong>back in the car heading for Arnouds dutch tick<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; with full succes!<br \/>\nIn a nice area nearby were some YBW&#8217;s and in addition a Arctic Warbler<br \/>\n<em>Phylloscopus borealis<\/em>. The <strong>noise from the harbour<\/strong> close-by and the present<br \/>\ncrowd <strong>discouraged me to make sound recordings<\/strong> there.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively please listen to a recording of a breeding bird in Mongolia:<\/p>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-255-3\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.singwarte.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/PFR07756_3-11_130523_arcticw-borealis-1-C_0824h_erdenesant_REF-S.mp3?_=3\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.singwarte.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/PFR07756_3-11_130523_arcticw-borealis-1-C_0824h_erdenesant_REF-S.mp3\">http:\/\/www.singwarte.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/PFR07756_3-11_130523_arcticw-borealis-1-C_0824h_erdenesant_REF-S.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>PFR07756, Arctic Warbler <em>Phylloscopus borealis<\/em>, call,<br \/>\nErdenesant, Mongolia, Telinga parabolic reflector<\/p>\n<p>Another famous place we visited were the <strong>Kennemerduinen<\/strong> near Sandpoort.<br \/>\nSound approach\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/soundapproach.co.uk\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Magnus<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/soundapproach.co.uk\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arnoud<\/a> spent a lot of time here recording<br \/>\n<strong>flight calls of migrants<\/strong> for the Dutch Birding\/The sound approach collaboration<br \/>\nCD <strong>Out of the blue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately the noise from the harbour was blown through the whole area<br \/>\nand again I wasn\u2019t really motivated depending on the situation.<br \/>\nA <strong>roosting<\/strong> Grey plover <em>Pluvialis squatarola<\/em> gave weak calls and a <strong>overflying<br \/>\nsongbird raised my attention<\/strong>. I thought it was a Serin <em>Serinus serinus<\/em> but<br \/>\n<strong>Roy Slaterus<\/strong> (counting migrants for <a href=\"http:\/\/trektellen.nl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trektellen<\/a> closeby) identified it<br \/>\nimmediately as a Lapland Longspur <em>Calcarius lapponicus<\/em>.<br \/>\nWow!
