\nI’ve never understood what people makes enthusiastic with patriotism<\/strong>. For me,
\nartificial constructs<\/strong> of nations and national identities make no sense therefore
\nI usually don’t think in structures like this.
\nBut sometimes I can’t help and start to find a particular group of people\u00a0more awful
\nthan others – depending on their behaviour.
\nSometimes some groups of humans or nations even become a symbol for
\nseemingly boundless human ignorance<\/strong>: Japan, Malta, Italy or Faroe Islands
\nfor instance.<\/p>\n

For many years I have been working on research vessels and some of them sail under the flag
\nof the Faroe Islands. It is well known that Faroese every year mass slaughter<\/strong> hundreds of
\nPilot Whales Globicephala melas<\/em> and Atlantic White-sided Dolphin Lagenorhynchus acutus
\n<\/em>– a “tradition” they call Grindadr\u00e1p<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Staying at deck under this flag<\/strong> sometimes produces quite a bad mood. Here’s is the sound of

Nevertheless staying on deck of a ship in a stiff breeze or even a storm is great fun
