December 2010<\/strong>
\nDuring the second half of December I visited the isle Greifswalder Oie another time
\n(german Baltic Sea). As expected, there was a lot of snow<\/strong> and for a few days the
\ncoast around the isle was frozen<\/strong> \u2013 some parts even to the horizon.<\/p>\n

This marvelous conditions<\/strong> gave me the opportunity to make recordings of snow,
\nwind, water and ice in several forms. For most of these recordings I used my new
\nRode NT1A in a ORTF setup.<\/p>\n

Due to the climate conditions, only a few birds<\/strong> were on the isle \u2013 most of the
\nwaterfowl were swimming behind the belt of ice, unreachable for my mics.
\nTo make the most out of this situation, I limited myself to record just the elements
\nand songbirds at the feeder close to the house.<\/p>\n
